I crave corn on the cob
This is what I get for corn here. Look at this. This is typical. God, I would kill for a big fresh crispy ear of corn. If anybody in Dresden knows something, please let me know.

Oh God, that is sad. I don't think I could eat that.
I haven't even tried to find corn on the cob here because I know that, as a corn snob, I will fail. :/
Believe me, I don't eat that. I took this picture in the supermarket.
Once they had corn on the cob in our institute canteen...and it was chewy. chewy. I couldn't eat it.
Man, i just had the most delicious ear of corn at a Seattle food festival last Saturday. I couldn't stop talking about how buttery, sweet, crisp and delicious it was.
Literally, I really couldn't stop... it was weird. I was so effusive that I was making the people I was with uncomfortable.
I think I might have been channeling you.
Alex - you can get normal, yummy corn on the cob at Kaufmarkt in Elbe Park. It's in the frozen veggies section and should satisfy your craving.
Let me know if there's anything else you're trying to track down...
I've looked at Kaufmarkt in their big fresh vegetable section...but never in the frozen section. I'm skeptical about frozen corn on the cob but I'll have to check it out!
I can't do frozen corn on the cob - it's oddly mushy! If you freeze corn at home you always have to cut it off the cob if you want good results.
Anyway I came back here because we found some corn at the market this weekend. It looks much better than the picture you posted, although not totally awesome. Taste test not performed yet. I hope it's good because it was a Euro per ear!!
